Breaking News Alert:

DIY: Body Bronzer

Bronzer-Licious Beyonce
Today I'm going to show you how to get that "glow" that many of us crave.
This is simple and cheap, in fact you may already have the ingredients in your house. I'm a girly girl. I love make up, shoes, hair, fashion, and getting dolled up. I'm a huge fan of the make up company MAC. They have a collection or product line for everyone,  whether you're going for a natural look or looking to bring out you inner diva, MAC has you covered. I personally think that MAC is an affordable line, when it comes to name brand make up (this excludes brands such as Cover Girl, Maybelline, loreal, etc). I realize that some people can't grasp the concept of $18.00 lip gloss, foundation, or eyliner may not want to pay that price but still want the look. One of my go to MAC products is, Luster Drops. This stuff is CRACK
in the make-up world. I can't get enough of this stuff, it's a multi-purpose product.

You can use this as a primer for eye shadow, highlighting, contouring, and to give your face and body a glow. Each bottle will set back about $25.00-$28.00. If you're not ready or willing to spend that time of money, I have you covered, here's what you'll need:

*A small container to either make enough to use one time, or a container to make and store for continued use.
*A plastic spoon for mixing
*A gel based lotion, (I recommend Nivea Express hydration gel) because, it's light weight, allows the skin to breath, and excellent in the warmer months. If you don't have a gel based moisturizer, then any lotion/moisturizer you have on hand will work.
*A container of loose bronzer ( I used this method when I ran out of my Luster Drops and didn't have time to go purchase more) I used Cover Girl Loose Bronzer.
Any brand of bronzer will work, if you don't have bronzer on hand, you can use eye shadow.
How to choose the correct color for your skin:
Fair skin: shimmery pink
Olive skin: shimmery coral copper
Dark Skin: Rich gold's.
The color you choose will be up to what you think compliments your skin, and accentuate the area you intend to apply it to.
I don't have a measurement for the ratio of bronzer to lotion/gel, I just eye it. You can control the intensity by mixing it yourself. If you want a rich and noticeable glow you will want to use more bronzer. if you want just a hint of shimmer, then use a light amount of bronzer. you can store your left over product with the rest of your beauty product.

Tip: If it's really hot out side, I will store my mixture in the fridge for 30 minutes prior to using it, it tightens the skin and helps for a smoother application, and reduce the appearance of cellulite
Tip: For best results apply to clean and hair free skin.
