DIY Deep Conditioning Treatment:
Treat Your Hair to a Spa Day

For the Fabulous and Frugal’s DIY Deep Conditioning Mix
For the Fabulous and Frugal writes:
I’ve tried several deep conditioning treatments, and none of them compare to my super simple at-home mix. I use the following ingredients:
  • Honey
  • Coconut Oil
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO)
  • Water Based Conditioner (like Yes to Carrots or Aussie Moist).
I use equal parts honey and oils (about a tablespoon of each), and about two tablespoons of conditioner.
I stir it up, pop in the microwave for about 15 seconds, and apply it to wet, freshly washed hair.
I put on a plastic cap and leave for at least thirty minutes.
(If I’ve got some things to do, I’ll put a scarf or a knit hat over the plastic cap.)
I do this treatment once every two weeks (when time allows). It’s super quick and easy, and leaves my curls soft, moisturized, and managaeble
