Its a Guilt Free Smoothie Affair

As I have mentioned Im a lover of ALL smoothies. I try any smoothie once, if I dont like it, I tweak the recipe. I have mentioned I am vegetarian and semi- vegan, I dont drink milk. If a recipe calls for milk I replace it with soy, coconut or almond milk. Its very hard for many of us to fit in all the daily servings of fruits, veggies, and dairy, and smoothies are a perfect way to kill two birds with one stone. Just remember KEEP IT CLEAN. If you start adding a bunch of over processed ingredients, and sugar you are defeating the purpose of drinking HEALTHY smoothies. Use natures best sweeteners, honey and fruits. Mango Madness

  • 1/4 cup of cubed mangoes
  • 1/4 cup of ripe avocado, mashed
  • 1/2 cup of mango juice
  • 1/4 cup of fat-free vanilla yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon of juice
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 6 ice cubes
  • Add all the ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth.
  • Apple Affair

  • 1/2 cup of skim milk or soy milk
  • 6 ounces of vanilla yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon of apple pie spice
  • 1 medium-sized, chopped apple
  • 2 tablespoons of cashew butter
  • 6 ice cubes
  • Place all the ingredients in the blender and then blend until smooth; best eaten with a spoon!

  •                                                                                       Raspberry Avocado Smoothie
  • 1 peeled and pitted avocado
  • 3/4 cup of orange juice
  • 3/4 cup of raspberry juice
  • 1/2 cup of frozen raspberries
  • Place everything in the blender and blend until smooth.

  • This combo may sound a little over the top to even imagine what this smoothie must tast like. I promise if you like the taste of raspberries and avocados separately then you'll love the combo. Dont be afraid to swap ingredients, I dont like raspberries, so I use fresh or frozen cherries. Do not use the cherries in a jar or can, that adds empty calories. Keep it clean!

    Banana Almond Smoothie

  • 1 banana, sliced and frozen
  • 1 tablespoon of almond butter
  • 2 teaspoons of flaxseed
  • 1/2 cup of almond milk or non-fat yogurt
  • A drizzle of honey
  • Half a teaspoon of almond or vanilla extract
  • Place everything in the blender and blend until smooth

  • This Smoothie sounds super lush and luxe but relax this simple smoothie is full of flavor not on calories!
